Bacon Jalapeño Poppers

 

These make a great snack, side dish, appetizer, item to share at a potluck, they are all around great.  They tend to pack a bit of heat, so be mindful of that if you don’t enjoy spicy foods.

Cook time:  15 minutes hands on, 60 minutes overall 
Servings:  16

Ingredients:

  • 8 jalapeño peppers, halved lengthwise with seeds removed
  • 8 ounces cream cheese
  • 16 ounces sliced bacon

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees
  2. Slice peppers lengthwise, carefully remove all seeds
  3. Spread cream cheese evenly over each pepper where seeds have been removed
  4. Wrap each pepper half in one slice of bacon, secure with a toothpick
  5. Place wrapped peppers on rimmed baking sheet with cream cheese sides up
  6. Bake at 325 degrees for 40 minutes
  7. Remove from oven, place poppers on a plate lined with a paper towel and allow to cool
  8. Enjoy
